Description of practical activities to be carried out:

-Synthesis and characterization of new porphyrin ligands and their respective complexes.
-Synthesis and characterization of copper and iridium photosensitizers.
-Conducting photocatalytic CO&#8322; reduction experiments.
-Analysis of reaction products from photocatalytic studies using gas chromatography (GC-TCD).
-Writing scientific reports.
-Presentation of results obtained in group meetings and other scientific gatherings.

Specific competencies to be developed:

- Knowledge of Schlenk techniques and inert atmosphere handling  
- Knowledge in the synthesis and characterization of porphyrin ligands and their respective iron complexes  
- Knowledge in CO&#8322; reduction and artificial photosynthesis  
- Knowledge of chromatographic techniques, including flash column chromatography and gas product analysis via gas chromatography (GC-TCD)  
- Knowledge in working on a chemistry research lab.
- comunication of scietific results

Minimum knowledge:

- Experience with Schlenk techniques and inert atmosphere handling.
- Experience in a synthesis lab
- Experience in the synthesis of porphyrin ligands and complexes
- Knowledge and experience in chemical synthesis.
- Being a enrolled and active student of the "University Master's Degree in - -- Synthesis, Catalysis and Molecular Design" 
- Knowledge of English
-Experience in science communication and presentation of scientific results
