Description of practical activities to be carried out:
The fellowship will introduce the student in the tasks of academic and teaching research.
Specific competencies to be developed:
A1 The ability to identify, analyse and explain trends and dynamics in tourism markets and demonstrate advanced and specialised knowledge of the sector. A2 The ability to diagnose needs and opportunities and identify the strengths and threats to tourism activity in the territory. A3 The ability to design and apply advanced systems for environmental, economic and social planning and management in tourism environments A4 The ability to apply advanced management and communication techniques to tourism A5 The ability to apply advanced data analysis techniques and to interpret and evaluate the results obtained A6 The ability to decide how to apply new technologies to the field of tourism and to give reasons for this decision A7 The ability to use advanced knowledge to establish systems for monitoring and evaluating tourism activity A8 The ability to analyse and understand how the social and cultural frame of the tourism phenomenon and the role of mobility linked to tourism transform destination places and regions. A9 The ability to explain the complexity of operating structures and the systems of management and governance in contemporary tourism A10 The ability to identify the social, technological, economic and environmental challenges that make necessary a strong orientation towards innovation in the management and communication of tourism areas

International students, in addition to their academic transcripts, may be required to submit a declaration of equivalence of average grades for university courses completed abroadissued by the Spanish Ministeri d'Educació i Formació Professional. The procedure for obtaining this declaration can be found on the web of the Ministry: http://www.educacionyfp.gob.es/servicios-al-ciudadano/catalogo/gestion-titulos/estudios-universitarios/titulos-extranjeros/equivalencia-notas-medias.html b) Curriculum vitae: Among other aspects, the selection committee will evaluate applicants' foreign language abilities, the relevance of their previous studies to the master's course, professional experience, mobility visits, grants or prizes received, publications, etc. The selection committee will only consider merits included in the CV that was submitted when the applicant pre-registered for the master's course and for which documentary evidence has also been presented. · Activity of the grant: The student will perform the teaching and research initiation presential activity. In the case of exceptional circumstances, the department and/or tutor may require the student to develop telematically. If telematic activity is not possible, the grant will be suspended at the direction of the department until the student can return to normal activity. Under no circumstances may the duration of the grant exceed the academic calendar for the current academic year. · Assessment by the tutor: Follow-up and evaluation of training activities carried out by the grant holders to comply with the educational requirements of the grants: 1. The training project is described in the grant scholarship summary and the grant holder's credential 2. As part of the process of evaluating and following-up the training activities, halfway through the grant the tutor conducts a follow-up interview to determine whether the student is acquiring the necessary learning competences 3. The grant holders have to evaluate their performance regarding the activities that they have carried out. 4. Before the end of the grant, the tutor evaluates the learning competences acquired by the student over the course of the scholarship 5. The course certificate certifies that the grant holder has satisfactorily acquired the necessary learning competencies The units may determine other systems for evaluating the activities carried out by the student over the course of the scholarship "
